Sinopsis
In the distant future, when Earth is in ruins and humanity has established a mobile fortress-city dubbed "Plantation," pilots live in Mistilteinn, the "Bird Cage." Children live there without knowing the outside world or freedom. His life consists of fighting and overcoming missions against giant and mysterious life forms known as Kyouryuu. To confront them, they use Franxx robots. A boy named Hiro is christened Code: 016 and was once considered a prodigy. However, it has been left behind and its existence seems unnecessary. Not piloting a Franxx is the same as not existing. One day, a mysterious girl known as "Zero Two" appears before him and two horns emerge from his head.
